Representatives from the North Carolina Procurement Technical Assistance Center (NCPTAC) and Small Business Administration presented updated information about federal preference programs and how Procurement Technical Assistance Centers can provide assistance. Mr. Rhys Seuer of General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products discussed SBLO issues, Government Small Business Policy, subcontracting plans and Defense Contract Management Agency oversight. Ms. Lee Eron of Fluor Government Group addressed how to have an outstanding and effective small business/supplier diversity program. Mr. Hank Guerriero from RTI International talked about the Electronic Subcontracting Reporting System (eSRS).
The workshop committee plans to make this an annual event for procurement specialists, diversity managers, and SBLO’s. For additional information about this workshop please visit the SBLO website. The sponsors for the event were the NCPTAC, Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC), Appalachian State University, Corning Cable Systems LLC, and Curtiss Wright Controls.
