WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Technology-based entrepreneurs and small companies seeking funding for R&D with plans to submit a SBIR/STTR proposal within the next 12 months.
WHY ATTEND?
All attendees of this event will receive detailed instruction on preparing each component of a proposal, current information on the SBIR/STTR program and the agency’s proposal submission processes, and tools and information necessary to prepare a competitive proposal.
Attendees will receive:
- Overview of both SBIR & STTR programs, including their objectives, and the latest information about reauthorization and how the Economic Stimulus Bill has impacted them
- Introduce attendees to a four-step process for developing a competitive Phase 1 proposal for either the SBIR or STTR program
- Give attendees an opportunity to review a sample Phase 1 proposal and then discuss as a group its strengths and weaknesses, followed by a summary of the value and limitations of sample proposals
- Overview of NC Incentive and Matching Programs
- Introduction to Legal, Accounting and Budget Development service providers in NC.
