Thank you for your interest in doing business with the North Carolina Education Lottery! It is the intent of the North Carolina Education Lottery to comply with the Standards Initiative promulgated by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries.
In August 2005, the North Carolina State Lottery Act (H. 1023) and the 2005 Appropriations Act (§ 622) was signed into law, which established the North Carolina Education Lottery.
Earnings of the N.C. Education Lottery are allocated to education-related purposes by the N.C. General Assembly. For fiscal year 2014, lottery dollars support teachers’ salaries in grades K-3, school construction and repair projects, prekindergarten programs for at-risk four-year-olds, need-based college scholarships and financial aid and digital learning initiatives.
