In this 60-minute webinar, learn about the $3 billion Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) federal funding programs. SBIR and STTR are competitive programs that provide research and development funding from 11 different federal agencies to small businesses. The goal of the two-phase funding mechanism is to help small businesses test the feasibility (phase 1) and develop a prototype / field test (phase 2) novel technologies that fulfill specific technical areas / mission of the various federal agencies. Following successful completion of the Phase 1 and Phase 2, the goal of the small business will be to commercialize the novel technologies.

The session will be presented by John Ujvari with the North Carolina SBTDC whose team offers no-fee counseling services to small businesses in North Carolina that are interested in applying for this funding.
