The summit will focus on entrepreneurship development skills for Eastern North Carolina.

Speakers include Randy Goldsmith, Ph. D. (keynote) who will speak on “New Venture Development: How to Become a Hometown Hero” and Mr. Bill Whitley, who will speak on “Building on Your Value Proposition.” Dr. Goldsmith (San Antonio, TX) has written, trained, and practiced extensively nationally and internationally in innovation-led and technology-based economic development, commercialization and capital formation. He has directly assisted more than 1000 entrepreneurs in their efforts to launch new companies. Mr. Bill Whitley (Charlotte, NC) is the founder of three successful start-up companies and is the author of Attracter, Engager…Art of the Rainmaker.
The event will feature two tracks with one directed towards entrepreneurs and the other community developers. Entrepreneurs will attend sessions on “Money Saving Ideas/Lessons Learned” and “Accelerating Your Go-to-Market Strategy.” Community Developers will learn more on “Supporting Entrepreneurs in Your Community” and “Entrepreneurship: A Competitive Edge for Economic Development.”
